This wedding was forty minutes drive west from Noosa at Kenilworth Homestead. A bit of a change from my usual Noosa wedding photography locations but i’m sure you will agree – equally stunning

Dave and Michelle are a couple that are very much in love i’m sure you will see it from one of my favourite weddings ever….

Noosa Wedding Photographer – Melissa and Ben – Noosa wedding

by Noosa wedding photographer David Ferguson

I had spoken to Melissa and Ben months ago about their wedding but as we drew closer everything had changed. Their wedding ceremony and reception was held in a beautiful penthouse apartment at picture point terraces high on the Noosa hill with the most amazing views over the whole area. The girls were all made up with their hair done by the time I arrived and the mood was really relaxed, it remained that way for most of the day. A lovely and heartwarming wedding ceremony was held on the rooftop terrace of the apartment and a more spectacular location I have yet to see. After a bit of time to chat to their guests we set off for the national park for some location shots. Everyone spoke well and it was plain for me to see that these two had overcome some adversity in their young lives and were already a formidable team, their strength for each other and their love will hold them in good stead for their future together. Best of luck in the future Ben and Melissa, thanks for making me feel so welcome at your lovely wedding.

Noosa wedding photographer – Mooloolah valley wedding

Noosa wedding photographer David Ferguson

Ben and Emma are a wonderful couple that were married at Emma’s Mum and Dad’s farm in the Mooloolah Valley on the sunshine coast. The farm which is made up of several beautifully green paddocks, a set of dated cattle yards, greenery everywhere,  creeks, cows, birds that scream like a baby and even a donkey over the boundry fence. This was going to be fun wedding.

Ben and Emma’s wedding was awesome. Getting married somewhere that means something to the bride is amazing, and it was. Arriving at the girls mountaintop hotel, the weather had improved and the weather was looking perfect.

Emma, Stephanie, Emily and Kate (good to see you yesterday at the Noosa tri) were all relaxed. The girls were then busy having their hair and makeup done by  Annette Cacciola and soon they were ready. There was an awesome mood as the girls prepared, The girls dressed and put on the brides boots. Gotta love em!

There were some obvious nerves with the boys as Ben, Bohdan and James waited for the girls. But after the beautiful bride rounded the dam and walked down the isle with a smile that the cheshire cat would have been proud of, Ben relaxed into his Groomly role. A beautiful ceremony conducted by Darienne Davis on ceremony hill, (a new landmark on the Bowman estate) surrounded by lovely big trees, made some people laugh and others cry and many did both, some even at the same time.

I really enjoyed shooting with the bridal party around the farm and I think the results are great, I even got to do a bit of four wheel driving!

As the light faded in the sky, the sounds of music and laughter could be heard through the valley as the party began to move into full swing. The boys from Sessions quickly fired up the got dance floor.

I am trying to get my hands on part (the alternate vows section) of Ben’s speech so that I can share some of the warmest words I have heard, a real insight into the charming relationship between Ben and Emma. Stay tuned.

Thanks Emma and Ben, I loved spending the day with you and your family. You all made me feel like part of the family.
